When researching magazine's double page spreads I noticed that many of the magazine's, such as 'Kerrang' which has the same genre that 'RECKLESS' specialises in have a dominating photograph on the left and interview on the right. I think that this is a good idea as it makes it clear who the interview is about, and I think that my target audience of teenagers could also use the page as a poster. I shot this photograph in a studio and edited it on photoshop to make it look professional as if it could be featured in a real magazine. I thought that my model's outfit should be as equally important to the quality of the photograph, I think that the outfit worn is what a typical teenager that would buy my magazine would wear. I used the quote "I could not stop smiling! I knew that this was my dream career' deliberately because it relates to the article advertised on my contents page about Andrew Robinson becoming part of a band after years of practising in a garage; it emphasises my magazine's encouragement that the teenagers who buy 'RECKLESS' could become a part of the music industry if they try their hardest.
The colour scheme I used for this page was a baby pink and black, I used the pink to represent my model being a girl and the black to portray her edgy side. I used the font 'Edwardian Script ITC' for 'Sophie Tait' as I think that it is the text that stands out the most on the page, emphasising the name of the artist featured.
The interview is in columns as all of the magazine's I researched had set theirs this way and my essential goal when making 'RECKLESS' was to make the magazine look realistic. I put the questions in bold and black to make it clear what the artist was being asked as I think that if the text had been in the same colour some readers could have gotten mixed up with the answers. I carried on using the pink throughout the interview as I think that only using one colour would have made the article visually bland.
The think that the header of this article was the most important, as I believe that if I had just put 'Sophie Tait' a large majority of my readers would have flicked past without reading. I put 'Say hello to London's new it girl' because I think that a lot of people would be curious to find out more considering that she is deemed the it girl of a capital, meaning that she has out shone a lot of other artists. I put hello in bold to emphasise further that Sophie Tait is a new comer to the music scene.
