I have learnt an array of different techniques on Photoshop while creating my magazine's front cover and contents page. I found it rather difficult at first as I've only really used Photoshop once before. Now I have completed my magazines front cover and contents page I have managed to learn a few things about Photoshop; I have learnt about how the 'layers' work, how to move things, change the opacity of colours, edit the images lighting and other simple tools.
I found editing the image quite frustrating at first as I had to do it multiple times as it would either look too over edited or the models eyes were too dark. In the end I had to use the 'lasoo' tool and draw around his eyes to brighten them up, while keeping the backgrounds editing more natural.
When taking the picture I thought about the best possible location, in the end the two choices I debated on were the coffee shop, or outside of Bede College's main entrance. I decided that outside of Bede looked the most attractive and that I would get a better lighting. I focused more on the model rather than the location as I wanted him to make the readers more focused on him and attract their attention.
Overall, I am happy with the magazine, yet I think that it would of looked more appealing if I knew how to use Photoshop a bit better and positioned the sell lines differently as I believe that they make the magazine look a bit cluttered.
